Worth Industries History

WORTH Industries, Inc. was founded in February 1978. WORTH (Work Opportunities Rehabilitating the Handicapped) opened with 15 employees and two staff members in a 3,000 square foot facility at 6544 North Broadway servicing individuals with disabilities in North City. As WORTH's mission grew, we expanded in 1983 and moved to a 6,000 square foot facility at 3501 North Broadway. At that time, WORTH had 35 employees. In 1998, an additional 6,000 square feet of additional space was leased. In 2002, WORTH moved into its current facility located at 4124 North Broadway and currently employs about 100 individuals. In 2008 WORTH received a Safety Achievement Award from SWIM, workers compensation group.

Over the years, WORTH has continued to provide meaningful employment opportunities to its employees by providing assembly, recycling, packaging, and manufacturing services to business on time and within budget.
